i'm not

a romantic person

i'm more practical

than anything

love

is a cheap word to me

and he says

we could be Bonnie and Clyde

against the world

but i would still

have no idea about what's so romantic

and why everyone

swoons over the idea

of dying so much

he says, "we don't have to be romantic"

"we don't have to be beautiful"

and everyone bleeds

when they're cut

but not quite everyone

bleeds prettily

and he knows

how it is 

to bleed through your fingers

it's like to create and to break 

all at once

over and over again

he says he's okay 

with hurting

i say i am

too

and it might not be romantic

or beautiful

but it's just us

playing Bonnie and Clyde against the world
